Thought for the Day

Poetry is not a prettification of life; poetry is life, a way of articulating the marvelous union of soul and body, spirit and matter. In true poetry the word becomes flesh. In a thing made of words is the spirit of God. The poet's way is a way of connecting heaven and earth, spirit and matter, one human being and another, human beings and nature, a human being with her or his self. And all this connecting is done through images made of words.
